    Ok, I may be wrong. Thanks for the correction. I have updated the solution; however, No data regarding the percentage of matrix in fault gouge is available in any text book/internet. Fault gouge is categorised based on the percentage of large/visible fragments (<30%).

    Answer: Greater than 70% Fault gouge is incohesive fault rocks which contain less than 30% large clasts (<2mm). The matrix proportional in fault gauge varies significantly but commonly exceeds 70%.
