Optics a screen is placed 50 mc ......

I am facing little bit problem in finding d Is their any thumb rule or short cuts where no of Maxima & minima were given!!!

    here is a mistake in the question, here is y3-y1=3mm and D=50cm.. when you use in my derivation you will get 0.2mm

    There are two mistakes in the question, first is the distance of screen is 50 cm(it is written as 50 mc) and the second is, Y3-Y1 = 3 mm(they have given 3000mm) . Otherwise everything is fine. Solve the questions as follows. best regards.

    dear here is the solution.. I don't know what is mc, so I put it as it is. but the integer value of width is coming 2. means option b is only width, that why a,c,d is not width. and acct to question, a,c,d is correct ans...
