solution is already attached .plz gi through that.

I would strictly recommend, not to go in deep for this type of questions. Just remember these two formulas. Actually Aberration are a type of loss in optics. And we always want to minimise the loss. There are two types of Aberrations, Chromatic and Spherical. The condition to minimise the aberrations in both the case for a given pair of two lenses is directly used here. equate both and get the answer. Best regards.

all other tutors gave you yours answer,I want to tell you about chromatic aberration, the effect produced by the refraction of different wavelengths of light through slightly different angles, resulting in a failure to focus.

• ##### Chandra prakash

i) The lens combination acts as an achromatic system if 1 2 2 f f D + = , where D is the distance between the lenses and f1 and f2 are the focal length of the two lenses. ii) The lenses produces equal deviations of the incident ray when the distance between the two lenses is equal to f1-f2 ............. I hope you will get it.. best regards

dear ans is 3 ....

see .

this figure will help u

see this for your clarifications like focus distance n all

• ##### Dhairya sharma

dear see attached for solution.

dear for spherical also chromatic aberration the formula for distance is same i.e. d = 2f .

see one more figure m attatching.
