II is more stable than I carbocation stability is directly proportional to electron donating tendency.

    sir why ?

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes explaining

    eduncle-logo-app

More is the electronegativity of atom less is the electron donating tendency. EN of carbon is more than silicon so it has less ED power and hence less stable

thanks sir , sir please explain this doubt also

    At A protonation occur

    eduncle-logo-app

    please explain dear sir

    eduncle-logo-app

there is resonance stabilization when protonation occurs at A

here we will the the +I effect of CH3CH2- and SiH3CH2- groups. as the EN of C is more than Si so +I effect of C will be less than Si. so + I CH3CH2- < SiH3CH2- so stability order = II > I

thanks sir , sir can we explain this on hyperconjugation effect also ?

    eduncle-logo-app

here in Both the case two alpha H are present so we will use only +I

    eduncle-logo-app

    OK sir

    eduncle-logo-app

please explain this doubt also sir

    eduncle-logo-app

i think protonation will occur at 'A' position, because due to resonance (-)ve charge comes on N atom and it easily takes proton compare to a lone pair of electron.

    eduncle-logo-app

yes, you are correct. it is resonance stabilized after protonation
