    this type series is called alternating series.....and it is only convergent or oscillates ....not divergent ever

    since series converges absolutely then by theorem (if a series converges absolutely the. series is convergent ) , this series will converge .

    converse is that , convergent series may or may not be absolutely convergent . And here this series is absolutely convergent (by ratio test ) .
