    take any path that passes through points ( at which we want to check continuity ) . If its not coming equal or not exist then f(x,y) is not continuous at that point . Note : this method is only used to proove discontinuity .

    doubt--->but there can be infinite paths that can pass through the point.

    just take known path ( 2-3 path ) , if limit is coming equal at these path . Then it implies that it may be continuous at that point . So , then we tries to proove continuity at that point by epsilon - delta definition .

    first consider always line y=mx, if limit depends on m then no neend to choose second path ...we can say that limit does not exist....if we get 0 then consider another path in this way such that degree of either x or y become equal
