    option B 3>2>1 Carboxylic acids have much higher boiling points than hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers, aldehydes, or ketones of similar molecular weight.  Both carboxylic acid and alcohol forms inter molecular H bonding .The difference is that two molecules of a carboxylic acid form two hydrogen bonds with each other (two alcohol molecules can only form one. The polar carbon-to-oxygen double bond causes aldehydes and ketones to have higher boiling points than those of ethers and alkanes of similar molar masses but lower than those of comparable alcohols that engage in intermolecular hydrogen bonding.
