sir then suppose in exam if question comes to find linear transformation such that its basis does not exist then i will tivk such type of option which says does not exist

got it now thank u sir ..

see it is jam 2010 qus....they ask direct to find LT...

its very old .. at that time there were subjective questions too . Now its very hard to ask such (easy & direct ) questions in coming jam exams .

they may ask in this way , they will ask to find L.T and L.T may not be exist . So, here we have to check L.I here firstly .

these two steps are for basis....it is not necessary to check first ...you can find directly because if in qus they say " find linear transformation " that means it is understood for us the given vectors form basis....if in qus they say 1. first check the vectors form a basis or not. 2. if yes, then find LT then in this case you have to check these two conditions otherwise no requirement
