sir I a not getting no of ions present on edge

    eduncle-logo-app

also tell can we use that density formula ..... because here spacing is given not edge lentg

    eduncle-logo-app

you can calculate using formula which I've you already

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes, check my formula

everything you've solved is correct but last step is missing. it is concptual question.

see shweta...i think you are confused in spacing...so due to this you cant use direct density formula

    eduncle-logo-app

    I didn't get

    eduncle-logo-app

    plz explain spacing again

    eduncle-logo-app

shweta as the edge length comes out to be 2.138cm and given Lif is present at a spacing of 2.10 A°so actually for no.of ions at edge length= edge length divided by spacing

    eduncle-logo-app

spacing is not equal to edge length right

    eduncle-logo-app

    yess

    Priyanshu kumar best-answer

after that you find avogadro constant

    eduncle-logo-app

    you know n= N/Na...So Na=N/n

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes sir

    eduncle-logo-app

sir ...plz do by direct formula density

    eduncle-logo-app

as I have used in my solution......

    eduncle-logo-app

shweta here Lif is present at a spacing of 2.01 angstrom ..so directly it doesn't comes always...

shweta you know LiF has cubic structure so from given data you see mol. wt of LiF is calculated and density is given ...so by formula volume=mol. wt/density,, you can find here volume...so volume comes here is volume of cube so edge length is find from here

    eduncle-logo-app

    edge length is given

    eduncle-logo-app

    alteady

    eduncle-logo-app

    r*

    eduncle-logo-app

I have used direct density formula for finding Avogadro no.

    eduncle-logo-app

here I m not getting answer

    eduncle-logo-app

directly you can't proceed...because at one edge you have to find...because spacing is also given

    eduncle-logo-app

wait i m providing you written solution

    eduncle-logo-app

    tok

    eduncle-logo-app

    sir

    eduncle-logo-app

    plz use direct density formula

    eduncle-logo-app

I think for lif we have to multiply internuclear dist..by 2

    eduncle-logo-app

shweta you can't proceed directly by this formula...as in ques spacing is also given

    check it

    eduncle-logo-app

sir I have direct formula of density

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes wait..

    eduncle-logo-app

for lif. . ..we have to multiply internuclear distance by 2 ?

    eduncle-logo-app

if I multiply by 2 with internuc.distance then I get correct answer but why we have to multiply with 2

    eduncle-logo-app

wait I'll provide you written solution. but still I'm not at home

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok sir
