Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

rectivity of hypohalous acids depend on acidity. more the acidity more is the reactivity. Acidity of Oxy acid (HOCl, HOBr, and HOI) depends on the polarity of the bond. In all three oxy acid, same atom O is attached to H in all acids. Here, Electronegativity of atom X (F, Cl or Br or I) attached to O decreases down a group, polarity of OH bond decreases, acid strength decreases. It means more the electronegativity of the halogen atom, more the tendency to pull electron and weaker the O-H bond and hence proton (H+) can easily remove. Example: HOF is strongest acid, HOI is weakest acid (order of acid strength is HOF > HOCl > HOBr > HOI) so the reactivity order is HOF > HOCl > HOBr > HOI)
