First understand what is statistics. In statistics we study systems considering large number of particles. If we consider that the particles of our system is classical that means they follow Newton's law of motion, the statistics is classical. Generally classical statistics is studied under Boltzman statistics. In this statistics we consider the particles are different. For example if we study the statistics of balls we can study under Boltzman statistics In other way the particles that do not follow the rules of classical mechanics that means the particles at microscopic level like electrons, protons are studied under quantum mechanics. Quantum means tiny but we can't say how much tiny. But some Angstrom level may be. I think now you have some idea about classical and quantum. If you understand it please comment below. Best of luck !

classical mechanics does not explain the phenomenon of quantum mechanics while if quantum mechanics applied at large scale then it can explain all the phenomenon of classical mechanics

quantam mechanics explain photoelectric effect Compton effect Zeeman effect while classical mechanics does not
