    Shweta, m directive means electrophile attacks on meta position. because electron density is higher on meta position rather than ortho and para position. due to -H effect, o and p position gets +ve charge so these positions have less density so more density will be on meta position where an electrophile can attack. due to +H effect o and Para gets negative charge so more density on o and p position. so E+ will attack on o and p position rather than m position in case of +H
