Stability of resonating structures depends on the following- Number of π bonds ∝ Resonance energy ∝ stability. Contributing structures should be such that the negative charge resides on an electronegative element and positive charge resides on an electropositive element. In contributing structures, like charges should not reside on atoms close to each other and unlike charges should be widely separated.

First check number of covalent bonds..More covalent bond more stability

    eduncle-logo-app

IV is least stable as there are 3 covalent bonds and electronegative oxygen contain positive charge

Ist is most stable as there are 4 covalent bond and no charge separation

    sir second aur third main

    second less hoga 3rd se

    eduncle-logo-app

    less covalent bond
