Polyalkylation

Sir can you mention at what conditions polyalkylation takes place

here in first step alkyl benzene formed so alkyl group increase the reactivity of benzene ring so here polyalkylation takes place and alkyl group show directive effect so alkylation takes place at ortho and para position of alkyl group which is already present on benzene ring

sir they have mentioned ALSO takes place that means in certain conditions only the polyalkylation occurs.Is it right sir?

Alkyl group is ortho para directing group so ortho and para alkylation occurs further. Friedel-Crafts alkylation can undergo polyalkylation. The reaction adds an electron donating alkyl group, which activates the benzene ring to further alkylation.
