Co2 is linear sp hybridisation The total number of valence electrons in CO2 is 4 from carbon, plus six from each oxygen = 16. ... If we only form single bonds from C-O, carbon does not form a stable octet of electrons so we need to from double bonds. O=C=O. There are only bonding electrons around the carbon which repel equally so the molecule is linear.

option A CO2 has sp hybridisation so it is linear. In CO2 molecule, two bond pairs and no lone pair of electrons are present, thus its structure is linear O=C=O While in all others along with bond pairs, lone pair of electrons are also present, so their structures are not linear.
