Q.find the electric field at a distance Z about the centre of a circular loop of radius R that carries a uniformly line charge Lambda.In this problen why X and Y components get cancled.

    see the attached. you will get how symmetric turms cancel out.in figure cos turms will cancel out .

    you do it from this method you don't have any confusion. and components gets cancel out due to symmetry purpose.
