A large mass M 1S fixed to the point A. If the two masses interact with each other via gravity then the general motion of the system will satisfy the condition M B (a) Only the total angular momentum of the system is constant (b) Only the total energy of the system is constant (c) Both energy and angular momentum of the system are constant (d) Neither energy nor the momentum of the system is constant

    Since the mass M is fixed and the rod is also fixed so due to gravitational force mass m will start oscillating and therefor direction of velocity will hence the angular momentum will not conserved. hence only total energy is conserved. So option (b) is correct
