    is there any formula for dip=vertical interval/horizontal equivalent for such questions?

    eduncle-logo-app

    according to formula tan theta=vertical/horizontal..but such formula as i told for dip does exist?

    Ans = 5.71 degrees Horizontal equivalent = Aerial distance between A and B = 1000 m Vertical Interval = 150 - 50 = 100 m Dip of the coal seam = arctan (100/1000) = arctan (1/10) = 5.71 degrees

    please explain in a figure for easy understanding
