    Answer (C): The fold plunges to the south at an angle equal to the slope The given outcrop pattern is of sloping ground. Any fold plunging equally as that of the ground slop will outcrop in parallel beds. Here in the given diagram the ground is sloping towards south and beds are horizontal; it indicates that the plunge angle and direction of the fault is exactly same as that of the ground i.e. towards south.
