    Ofcourse Cl- is highest in seawater why highest the residence time of Cl- ion is highest.... that is very very large...but if you want to choose appropriate one Na + has a large residence time will be the answer. Well what is residence time it's the time a solute remains in the solution. in layman term :; reservoir volume/ input

    Sea water remain salty because of some ions like sodium (Na+) and chloride (Cl-) remain in the sea for a very long time. This is called a residence time. So most probable answer has to be (D)... As residence time of Na+ ion is very high..
