    Outercore is liquid because the melting point of material in outercore is less than ambient temperature and it's more for material in the inner core ....and the pressure is more dominant there .. How we know that from seismic refraction.. Hence the inner core is not liquid.

    The answer should be B). It is due to high pressures that the outer core is liquid whereas inner core is solid.
