    Anorthosite is a rock having composition more or less simillar to Gabbro and in QAPF it's has the volcanic equivalent basalt. moon is covered by mostly anorthosite and deccan layered mafic basalt is an equivalent to it.

    Answer (C) Deccan Basalt Lunar surface is dominated by basalt (exposed in lunar Maria). The basalt on exposed on the lunar surface is very similar in composition to that of Deccan Basalt.
