Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Answer: (a) and (d) Speed of the tsunami (meters/second) is equal to the square root of g (the acceleration due to gravity, which a constant 9.81 meters/second) times the water depth (d) at which the disturbance occurred (meters). i.e. velocity = sqrt (g × depth) i.e. (velocity)^2 = g × depth So, the graph between v2 and depth (d) will be a straight line with zero intercept and graph between v and depth (d) will be a parabola. So the correct answer should be curve (a) and (d) shown in the question
yes sir option a is obvious
but d will also be answer because as we know y²=4ax similarly v²=d (4a constant).so a parabola
Yes, d can also be a possible answer 👍
please include d in answer
Yes, I have included option d in updated answer
Thank you for the correction Anukruti. I thought it was a single option correct question. That's why I didn't see other options.
