Most probably answer has to be B. Himalayas are the new fold mountain system. Fold mountains are generally created where two or more of Earth’s tectonic plates are pushed together. At these colliding, compressing boundaries, rocks and debris are warped and folded into rocky outcrops, hills, mountains, and entire mountain ranges. Himalayas was formed due to collision of the Indian plates with the eurasian plates thereby engulfing the tethys sea.

will it not be C?i was confused because it was formed by collision of two continental plates?then i thought it is also recent folded

    eduncle-logo-app

No it's not. Well known collisional mountain ranges which were formed by the Collison of continental plates are your Applachian mountain ranges and Himalaya is basically a fold mountain dut to folding of the indian and eurasian plate and upliftment due to folding leads to the formation of himalayas

So perfect answer would be fold mountain

See this. Both collisional and fold can be correct but if you have to choose best one then it has to he fold mountain because himalayan is classified as fold mountains.

ya folded will be more appropriate.

If it comes in MSQ then you can mark both of them. But as it is specifically classified as fold mountain. In MCQ mark fold mountain only
