Most probable answer has to be (A) .... As Kyanite is the high pressure polymorph of Al2SiO5 and it is found in high pressure metamorphic terrain. Upon upliftment there is a slight variation in physical condition (mainly in pressure is observed). So you can have various transitions in polymorphs. And that includes from Kyanite-Sillimanite and Kyanite to Andalusite. (But never from Andalusite to Kyanite as Andalusite is found dominating in low pressure regimes).

Answer: Kyanite to Sillimanite Pelitic rock protolith will develop Kyanite (high pressure polymorph of Al2SiO5) as a result of high pressure Metamorphism. As rock will uplift, the pressure will reduce and polymorphic transformation will result into transformation of high pressure Al2SiO5 polymorph (Kyanite) to low pressure Al2SiO5 polymorph (Sillimanite or Andalusite). So, Possible polymorphic transformations are: 1. Kyanite to Andalusite 2. Kyanite to Sillimanite
