Well I guess this will be clear from the diagram I'm attaching below... You can check in any case given for hinge thickness(at 0°) and orthogonal thickness (for some alpha) , that which type of fold it is referring to. As per your question, t0= 2ta which implies, ta/t0 = 1/2 = 0.5 ( where a= 60°) Also the ratio(ta/t0) is also called as local layer thickness. As you can see local dip of the layer is 60° and local layer thickness is 0.5 , so if you clearly look at the plot given, it is most probably a similar fold. Note: Do not confuse with the thickness parallel to axial surface which is usually denoted by 'T' not with 't'(which is used for Orthogonal thickness). In case of similar fold or class 2 fold as per ramsay classification , the thickness parallel to axial surface or 'T' remain conserved.
