    Correct answer most probably will be Cenozoic era. Most of the physiographic changes occurred during this era only (including one of the major event of the upheaval of the himalaya). It's given in Ravindar kumar stratigraphy book, you can see from that also for more explanation.

    IT'S OFCOURSE HIMALAYA AND OTHER FOLD MOUNTAIN BELTS WERE THE SPECTACULAR FEATURE OF INDIA.. ALSO IN CRETACEOUS THE DECCAN TRAP FORMED. SO AFTER THAT IN CENOZOIC ERA THE PHYSIOGRPHY FEATURE OF INDIA WERE SHAPED. DIRECT BOOK LINE
