Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Well if one take example of ellipse, they have semimajor axis and semiminor axis. Let's suppose that length of semimajor axis be "a" and that of semiminor axis be "b". Then in case of circle, these lengths are equal to the length of the line joining centre to the point on the circumference of the circle. That line segment is radius of the circle (In a=b=radius of the circle), So eccentricity mathematically will be 0 for circle, while for ellipse it will be less than 1 and in case of hyperbola it is greater than one while in parabola eccentricity is equal to 1.
