    Answer (C) Lit par lit Gneiss Lit par lit gneiss is a gneiss having the characteristic of a layered rock, the laminae of which have been penetrated by numerous thin, roughly parallel sheets of igneous material, usually granitic. Orthogneiss is a gneiss with mineralogy and texture indicating derivation from a phaneritic igneous rock protolith, and Paragneiss is a gneiss formed by the metamorphism of a sedimentary rock. augen gneiss is a rock containing  large eye-shaped grains ( commonly feldspar) that are derived from preexisting large crystals by shear.
