    Answer: Upright non-plunging fold or, Horizontal Upright fold It can be seen that the plotted axial plane on the stereonet is vertical (any straight line passing through center of stereonet represents a vertical plane). The hinge line of the fold is horizontal because it is plotted on the periphery (any point plotted on the periphery of stereonet represents horizontal line or line with zero plunge). Now, a fold with vertical axial plane and horizontal (Non-plunging) fold axis is known as horizontal Upright fold or, upright non-plunging fold.
