I think LCM is not taken when 2 periodic functions are in product. Counter example let f(x) = Sinx and g(x) = cosx then f(x)/g(x) = tanx . LCM of 2π and 2π is 2π while period of tanx is π . LCM is taken when we add 2 functions.please clear this doubt

yes this does not work always we have to cross check , i.e. if lcm of both period is a then a is also a period but any divisor of a can also be a period of that function and we take min positive no as period

period of sin nx is 2pi/n and tan(x/n) Is n pi so lcm(2pi/n,n pi) is 6 pi if n=3

LCM is taken when we add 2 functions. Not in the case of multiplication of functions. And it's answer is 6
