hello student the same ring can be called as a substituted dioxane well as if you consider one side oxygen that can be called as a substituted Ether. you can watch attached picture for each and every functional group I have written with pen. definition of functional group is a group of atom responsible for the characteristics reaction of particular compound. if you see a list of functional group on Google you can find out many functional groups which you can detect easily in compounds but in this compound there are like CH and Ether, CH3 groups. this also can be called as functional group but this functional group are very less reactive so normally this cannot belongs to the functional group but I have seen many reactions which show reaction on CH3 as well as ch2 and that reaction can be called as CH activation. if that groups are not functional group then Ch should not react anyone Ch activation reaction also. thank you for asking this question if you have any doubt you can comment to this I will try to solve doubt.

alkene alkyne ko count krege functional groups me

    eduncle-logo-app

yes,Functional groups are specific groupings of atoms within molecules that have their own characteristic properties, regardless of the other atoms present in a molecule.

    eduncle-logo-app

Alkenes and alkynes are considered functional groups. But alkanes are not considered functional groups, in general, mainly because they are so common in most organic molecules.
