but in the formula, we write h and not x. why did you write x instead of h?

    eduncle-logo-app

We use h when we write Taylor expansion in nbd of point.....but when we change a+h by x then in remainder we get x in place of h

    eduncle-logo-app

if possible, please show the difference on paper 📝.?

    eduncle-logo-app

see..... similar solve for Lagrange remainder ...

    eduncle-logo-app

nbd of a should be :(a-h,a+h)?

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes....but we consider either [a-h ,a] or [ a,a+h]

    Refer attached solution

    eduncle-logo-app

all options are incorrect , because there is no factorial sign..

    eduncle-logo-app

why did you replace h with x?

    eduncle-logo-app

h=x-0=x h= length of interval and interval is (0,x)

    eduncle-logo-app

    & what is a?

    eduncle-logo-app

    a=0 here .

    eduncle-logo-app

    doubt

    eduncle-logo-app

please tell me how a is defined?

    eduncle-logo-app

we know logx is defined for x>0 , and also no interval is given in question . So we will take general interval (0,x).

    eduncle-logo-app

    if interval is (u,v) , then h=v-u and a=u.

    eduncle-logo-app

In the question, we have log(1+x) so the interval will change accordingly, it will be (-1,x), right?

    eduncle-logo-app

    accordingly a=1,right?

    eduncle-logo-app

wait , I have done mistake..
