Should the limit be pi or pi+1?

IIT JAM 2015 given a convergent sequence with X1>π+√2 and x(n+1)=π+√{x(n)-π} Should the limit be pi or pi+1?

    since x1> π+√2 So limit can't be π option a is correct

    but if it is an increasing sequence then the limit can never be equal to π+1 as π+√2>π+1
