  value of this determinant is equal to zero if any two rows or two columns are identical (same ) , so , only at x=π/4 any two rows or two columns are equal . thus x= π/4 is a root of this determinant . and no. of roots = 1..

  just do some row transformations for easy calculation and then find value of x in [-π/4,π/4]..
