Formation is type of lithostratigraphic unit (distinguished on the basis of lithology), which is mappable at a scale of 1:50000. You might have heard about different formations in stratigraphy books (For eg. Ranipat Formation, Surajdewal Formation etc.). Different formations combine to make up a Group. Formation are considered as primary stratigraphic unit because formations are mappable and can be traced throughout the basin area.

and sir ek line or hai.... formations should not contain uncomfomity but some minor disconformity may be acceptable. why sir? as unconformity is commonly found.

Yes, it's correct. Unconformity represents the time gap in deposition. Major unconformity means a larger time gap and hence depositional environment will be entirely different than earlier. This is the reason why Formation should not contain unconformity. Unconformity is generally considered as the boundary between two formations, thay can't be contained within a Formation.
