    1. We do not observed tides in Lake because lake is very small feature. Tides are generally generated in large features such as sea or even in some big lakes (Lake Michigan). 2. If Earth were tidally locked there would be no seasons. The only change in the amount of sunlight would come from the slight variation in distance from the sun due to Earth's orbit being slightly out of round. So, Earth is not tidally locked with sun. Moon is tidally locked with Earth.

    Smaller bodies of water, like lakes and pools, don't have noticeable tidal bulges because they lack enough liquid to create pressure that can visibly overcome the pull of Earth's gravity.. In brief they have tidal buldge but unnoticeable because less water content than that of ocean or see. 2.For tidal locking there is a criteria of rotation period must be same as of revolution . in case of Earth rotion period is 24 hour /1day while revolution period is 365 days so tidal locking is not seen . Mercury is having some what same kind of situation with sun. 🌞
