Sir, here why we take only yhese four cases....we know that limit exists for f(x,y) if it is path independent...so why we choose only these four paths...why we

sir, here why we take only yhese four cases....we know that limit exists for f(x,y) if it is path independent...so why we choose only these four paths...why we dont choose parabolic or any other path....pls explain

    in fourth case - on varying m and n , you will get parabola , lines , all curves etc which passes through origin.. So, it enough for checking limit at (0,0).
