Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

• Polariser set 1: When polarised light will pass through 1st polarizer then light orientation and intensity will remain same because transmission direction of polarizer is same as that of light. When light will pass through 2nd polarizer the orientation of light and intensity will change. The final intensity will be- Final intensity after passing through 2nd polarizer = (Initial intensity)^2 × (Cos15)^2 • Polarizer set 2: When polarised light will pass through 1st polarizer then light orientation and intensity will change same because transmission direction of polarizer is different as that of light. The intensity of light after passing through polarizer 1 will be- Intensity after passing through 1st polarizer = (Initial intensity)^2 × (Cos15)^2 Now the light vibration direction has changed (15° tilted of the initial direction); so when the light will pass through polarizer 2, intensity and vibration direction of light will further reduce- Final intensity after passing through 2nd polarizer = [(Initial intensity)^2 × (Cos15)^2] × (Cos15)^2 So the light passing through polarizer set 2 will be less than that of light passing through polarizer set 1
