Usually I think they give you proper units to write in the main exam. But even if this thing happen that they don't give you unit to write then yoiu should go according to the question. If the data has Nanometer as unit then you should consider Nanometer. If it has Angstorm then mention Angstorm. If it's mixed then they surely would given you unit to write. Even then also it's not there then you should go with Angstorm. But I feel they do provide units.
