Mineral lineation :- Mineral lineations can be formed by the nearly parallel alignment of mineral grains or clusters that have a needle like habit (e.g., amphiboles), by elongation of mineral grains or clusters during deformation, or by the preferentially oriented growth of minerals in response to the ambient state of stress during metamorphism. mineral grain lineation is almost same and it grows along the less stress direction

sir, i think, mineral lineation is elongated crystal, but mineral grain lineation have elongated grain or grain aggregates.

Mineral limlneations are defined by oriented single crystals of elongate minerals like hornblende or kyanite. Mineral grain lineations is defined by elongate aggregates of grains and the grains may be elongate or equant in shape.
