    Yes Gurmeet you are absolutely correct. the thickness is maintained if in this question the questions is asked keeping thickness in context then the option is correct.otherwise non of them is true.

    Yes, you are correct. Parallel fold maintains the thickness not the shape. All options are wrong for this question. If you will consider "thickness" instead of "shape", then option 1 will be correct. But since "shape" is used, all options are incorrect. Even if you will consider the shape of parallel fold, parallel fold never maintains the shape in upward or downward. The shape of parallel folds changes both up and down, it can be seen in attached figure. Similar fold maintains the shape upward and downward.
