contour has no role for beds

but sir we make the contour of beds/ hills or same elevation points of any typographical features.

we do contours for elevation points at equal position. beds has no role for contour..shape of contour depends on the topography shape . beds are projected to map and then looking at the bed orientation on map we can predict of the bed is whether horizontal, vertical or inclined

sir , in vertical case its not possible to make contour (same elevation points).

    see this

means sir vertical bed will be completely vertical in contour also.

Dear student, the given figure represents the contour diagrams of different strata. Dotted line in the map is contour lines (locus of equal height points) and shaded part is the strata/bed. In figure (a), bed boundary (shaded part) is parallel to the contour lines which indicate that the bed is horizontal In figure (b), the bed is vertical so contours of different heights are cutting across through the bed (shaded part). You can imagine the map by looking at 3D models.
