Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Member (a lithostratigraphic unit) is also known as tongue or lentil. Unconformity is a logical choice for the contact between two lithospheric unit because it represents time gap in deposition and usually marked by conglomeratic beds. As you know that lithostratigraphic units are based on lithology and beds above and below the unconformity are usually of different lithology, that's why unconformity can work as a boundary/contact between two lithospheric units.
and sir wt is this diagram about.
are these different formations in Toronto group (as an example)
Yes, the diagram is representing a stratigraphic succession divided into formations and members (tongues/lentils), by the presence of facies variation & unconformity.
and one last thing, allostratigraphy kya hai.
Allostratigraphy is the study of sedimentary strata that can be defined and identified from the discontinuities bounding them, and that can be mapped.
