sir plz tell alcl3 is covalent due to mutual sharing of electron but in alf3 it is ionic plz explain both these

    AlF3 is formed by transfer of electron .

    One of the proof that AlCl3 is covalent that it dimerimizes to complete its octet but AlF3 does not dimerimizes as it is ionic bond.
