Outer core is liquid and shear modulus of liquid is zero. For the propagation of secondary waves through any material, the material must have some shear modulus. Since shear modulu...

    sir what is bulk modulus.
  • Sajan sarthak sahoo thankyou
Outercore is liquid so shear stress can't be applied over liquid . so shear modulus is zero .

sir, wt about the bulk modulus.
  • Sajan sarthak sahoo
bulk modulus factor is present that is why p wave can travel through outercore
