Sir, why answer is not bulk modulus.?

IIT JAM GG USP (1-15) 2019 The secondary (Transverse) waves do not travel through the outer core because Density is high Bulk modulus is low Density is low Shearing (rigidity) modulus is low

bulk modulus factor is present that is why p wave can travel through outercore

    sir wt is bulk modulus.

Bulk or volumetric modulus= volumetric stress/volumetric strain

Outer core is liquid and shear modulus of liquid is zero. For the propagation of secondary waves through any material, the material must have some shear modulus. Since shear modulus of outer core (liquid) is zero so the secondary waves can not travel through that.

    sir what is bulk modulus.

Bulk modulus is the ratio of pressure applied to the corresponding relative decrease in the volume of the material. Even a liquid can have significant value of bulk modulus.

Outercore is liquid so shear stress can't be applied over liquid . so shear modulus is zero .
