shib option B is correct... Regular trends is that IE decreases down the group but grp 10 elements Ni,Pd,Pt doesn't follow the trends...

Mainly IE decreases down the group due to increase in size and decreases in nuclear attraction. But for Pt as the 4f orbital added but it has poor shielding effect so due to lanthanide contraction also size of pd and pt almost remain same...And due to poor shielding effect of 4f orbital effective nuclear charge is more...So ionisation energy is more

    eduncle-logo-app

value you can see... ..Ni- 7.61 eV pd - 8.3 eV and Pt =8.9 eV

grp 3 elements ,grp 13 and grp 14 elements the trends is regular..

Option C is correct. On moving down the group, the ionization enthalpy decreases. This is true for B and Al.Β  Β  Β  Β Β  The ionization enthalpy of Ga is unexpectedly higher than that of Al. Ga contains 10d electrons in inner shell which are less penetrating. Their shielding is less effective than that of s and p electrons. The outer electron is held fairly strongly by the nucleus. The ionization enthalpy increases slightly.Β  A similar increase is observed from In to Tl due to presence of 14f electrons in the inner shell of Tl which have poor shielding effect

Most of the time the ionization potential of elements decreases going down a group in the periodic table, but Pd and Pt do not obey this rule. The Ionization energy of Pt (870 KJ/mole) is higher than Pd (804 KJ/mole) because of the poor screening effect of 4f sub shell core for increasing more effective nuclear charges on valence electron of Pt metal.
