question 70 . It is the Ions which conducts elecricity.

    eduncle-logo-app

Ethanol is non polar compound so it just mixes with water.

    eduncle-logo-app

    Ethanol doesn't dissociate into ions

    eduncle-logo-app

    No ions means no electricity

    69) When ionic compound dissolves in water, it dissociates into ions and these ions are solvated by water molecules. This is an exothermic process.

sir pz elaborate option a and c

The attractive forces starts weakening and the ions are hydrated. This process involves heat too!

let's just suppose that we have NaCl as the ionic compound. As soon as we add this NaCl in water, the attractive forces between Na+ and Cl- starts weakening due to start of solvation of both the ions.

    69) option d and 70) option c

    explaination 70)

    69) explaination - When ionic compound dissolves in water, it dissociates into ions and these ions are solvated by water molecules. This is an exothermic process.

    got it??

    eduncle-logo-app

sir can u explain question 70 again i didn't understand

    eduncle-logo-app

    wait..

    eduncle-logo-app

simply Alcohol is an covalent compounds so we know that covalent compounds not dissociate into their ions in water so due to non availability of ions in Water it is non conducting in nature

    69 - All of these.

    eduncle-logo-app

Due to hydration of ions I.e cations and anions, heat is evolved.

    eduncle-logo-app

    70 - C

    eduncle-logo-app

Because Alcohol is not a strong electrolyte is made up of covalent forces..it's not conductive in nature.

    eduncle-logo-app

sir pz elaborate option a and c

    eduncle-logo-app

    Check my comments below.

I have explained about 69th question in detail in other comments. Also, for 70th, A is a ionic salt which is strong electrolyte..same goes with B and option D is a coordination compound whose ionic sphere can dissociate and act as conductive ions. Leaving behind alcohol only.
