An igneous body shows two sets of vertical joints,the first set striking S40°E and the second striking S40°W.The foliation of the igneous body has a rake of 30° on the first and a rake of 40° on the second joint plane.Determine true dip of the foliation and direction.

    True dip amount= 43.44 degrees & True dip direction = S12.43W Please see the attachment for detailed description.
