    sir, but book mai to Cacl2>SrCl2>BaCl2>ZnCl3>CdCl2>HgCl2 diya hua hai, 🙄

    we can apply fajan’s rule.. Which states “cation with smaller size and greater charge and anion with larger size and less charge has more polarizing power” So a more covalent compound is formed with smaller cation and largerer anion. so in the case of Ca2+ ,Sr2+ and Ba2+ the covalent character is Ca2+ > Sr2+>Ba2+ but in the case of Zn2+ ,Cd2+, Hg2+ order will be reversed as HgCl2> CdCl2>ZnCl2> CaCl2>SrCl2>BaCl2
